AA Istanbul Visiting School

 

The second edition of AA Istanbul Visiting School, in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University (ITU), acts as a continuation and augmentation of its first version, “Crafted Tower”. Taught by AA/ITU staff, the School amplifies the concepts of verticality, biological systems, and crafted models in an elaborated agenda during this 7-day long intensive computational setup. AA Athens Visiting School

 

In today’s world of amplified social interaction and increased focus on issues of connectivity, adjustability and dynamic relations, there is a need for our built environment to evolve beyond its current relatively static state. In 2012, AA Athens Visiting School, in collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) Post graduate program Architecture Space Design, will address architectural themes involving participation and active engagement with design prototypes that are characterized by action. AA DLAB London

 

AA DLab experiments thoroughly on the possibilities of digital design tools and rapid prototyping techniques as highly integrated systems of design development. It is an intensive computation and fabrication oriented workshop that is structured around a general theme in each consecutive edition.
